ORIGINAL COMIC ART

While most of my time in comics is spent editorially or coloring, there are a few I’ve created from the bottom up - inking, coloring and everything inbetween. I also specialize in illustrating and coloring special variant covers that are homages to nostalgic video game covers, which you can check out here.

FANTASMAGORIA

While working with Starburns Industries Press, it became necessary to rush through a cover design for a spur of the moment idea — a special horror anthology inspired by Mexican folklore, written by Latinx writers associated with the company. Time was short to get it done in time for the Halloween pre-order season, so I cranked out this design in two days, a personal best and one of my all time favorite pieces of artwork I have ever done. It is also my official debut into mainstream comic art and will always be special to me.

Strider & Viv

The comic series, The Adventures of Strider & Viv, was created for Transportation Safety–ODOT’s Safe Routes to School program. Working from basic character mockups of the two main superhero characters, and working closely with the client, I helped created a world where kids could learn about safety with entertaining, free comic brochures that are given out around the state in both English and Spanish.
